From my time spent on online book communities, I’ve found that the hardest thing to find is a reader like me. Like most things on social media, things can often turn into a competition. Who can read the most books in a year? Who can read the fastest? As a slightly slower reader doing an undergraduate degree with a job, I don’t have enough time in the year to read 250 books… unfortunately. So in order to become a bookseeker, you must be comfortable in reading at your own pace. Hopefully, this will help you find a comfortable reading pace, which is whatever you want it be! However you find reading fits best into your life - you know better than anyone else!

Last year I read around 30 books, this year I aim for more, but only time will tell! As I have to read a lot for my studies, I often find it very hard to make time for the books I like to read in my spare time, so come summer time I’m usually gobbling them up. But during term times, I tend to be a lot slower, averaging at about one book every two weeks. So whoever you are and whatever your reading style and pace is, bookseeker serves as a place where you can have freedom in your reading.
